📣I'm Running for Re-Election in 2026 📣

Friends and neighbours,

It’s an honour to seek re-election to Orangeville Council in 2026. Serving our community is a monumental responsibility and I'm looking forward to continuing the work of advocating for families, protecting Orangeville's identity, and supporting fiscally responsible environmental stewardship. Looking forward to September, I have reduced my teaching role to part time to allow for more dedicated time for our community.

As I begin this campaign, I'm looking for people who would like to get involved. There are many ways to help, whether that's organizing, planning, delivering signs, knocking on doors, attending events, sharing ideas, helping with communications, making a financial contribution or supporting behind the scenes.

Anyone can volunteer. Whether you have a few hours to contribute or are interested in taking on a larger role, your help would be appreciated. High school students are also welcome and can collect volunteer hours while participating in campaign activities.

Congratulations young entrepreneurs!

Meet the five student entrepreneurs participating in this year’s Summer Company program at the Orangeville Farmers' Market this Saturday, July 11 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by to learn about their businesses and discover the products and services they have to offer.

Throughout the summer, these students will receive training, business skill development and mentorship to help them launch and run their summer business.

In the recent ‘In The Hills’ there is an excerpt with a map of all the farm stands in Caledon and Dufferin, making it impossible not to explore the food around us this summer 🍎🥕🍓

It was so nice chatting to discover you work at the school just up the street from mine. This will be such a fantastic resource for students learning about our community in social studies.

Happy Canada Day, Orangeville!

The Westminster Garden Transformation Project is a wonderful celebration of volunteerism, environmental care and community.

Vegetables grown here are used for meals prepared in the church kitchen, community dinners and donations to the Orangeville Food Bank. Every part of the garden is approached through an eco-conscious lens, including water conservation supported by four rain barrels funded through a Town of Orangeville and Sustainable Orangeville grant.

The spirit of love, understanding, and giving is in the air at Westminster, and it’s contagious!

At Council last night, we had the pleasure of presenting the Ontario Senior of the Year Award to the one and only Wayne White.

Wayne gives his heart and soul to this community and truly embodies what it means to be a dedicated volunteer. He has spent countless hours giving back, bringing people together, and helping make Orangeville a better place for everyone.

From his work with the Lions Club to his leadership as a Friend of Island Lake, Wayne's contributions have left a lasting mark on our community. He is a tireless advocate, a community builder, and someone who never hesitates to step up when help is needed.

It was an honour to recognize Wayne for his years of service and commitment. Thank you to his lovely wife, Wanda, and his family for joining us to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations, Wayne, and thank you for everything you do for our community.
