As another wonderful school year comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our entire Onion Lake community.

To our parents and caregivers, thank you for trusting us with your precious little ones. It is an honour to be the beginning of their educational journey, helping them learn, grow, and reach their full potential. We appreciate your partnership and support every step of the way.

To our incredible staff, thank you for showing up every day with compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for our children. Your hearts are always in the right place, and the care you provide makes a lasting difference in the lives of our students. We are grateful for your hard work, commitment, and all the wonderful memories we’ve created together this year.

A special thank you to CPCA for treating our staff to a delicious breakfast this morning. Your kindness and generosity filled many bellies and hearts with happiness and gratitude. It was the perfect way to celebrate and send our staff into a well-deserved summer break.

Here’s to another successful school year! We wish all of our students, families, and the entire Onion Lake community a safe, happy, and fun-filled summer.

Tomorrow is a full day of school, but we will be having our fun day activities!

In the morning we will be having a movie with the students in the gym, with activities planned for the afternoon.

Fathers Day Draw

Good morning! We will be celebrating Fathers Day with a BBQ, starting at 11, here at Pewasenakwan! We can’t wait to see all the supportive fathers walk in the building!

Just a reminder that tomorrow and Thursday we have the Pre-K screeners from 9 AM to 3 PM here at Pewasenakwan.

If your child is 4 years of age on or before September 30th he or she is elected to attend Pre-K. If you’re interested in learning more or want to book an appointment please call the Health Centre @ (306)-344-2330.

Good evening. Weather permitting we will continue with our Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grade One track and field competition tomorrow.

It will be in the afternoon, starting at 12:30 and parents are encouraged to come and cheer your child on! The more the merrier! See you tomorrow!

Today was an exciting day as both our kindergarteners and grade one students went on their field trips.

We were notified, today, that Monday June 8th is going to be a bus day due to the passing of an Elder.

We hope you have an enjoyable weekend and send our condolences to the family.

Todays scheduled Land Based camp has been cancelled due to the weather.

Sorry for the short notice. We will be meeting about the camps for Kindergarten and Grade 1, seeing how we can accomodate those grades due to the weather.

Just reminding you that Pewasenakwan Primary School will be having our Land Based Camp this week starting with Pre-K tomorrow, Monday June 1st.

Please ensure they are dressed properly as they are forecasting rain for the next few days.

We have some fun activities planned and can’t wait for our students to participate!
