What a fun afternoon, our ice cream buffet party was so much fun. All the programs participated and we had parents come and enjoy some ice cream with us as well. Each program participated in the bucket filling challenge, which is the children did kind actions they got pom-poms in a a classroom jar, showing what kind friends are. For fun today, everybody tried to guess how many pom-poms were in their programs jar for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to McDonald’s. Here are the winners.:
Preschool: Roac
Prekindergarten: Chantelle (Saonas mom)
Afterschool: Christine (Amelia’s mom)

We also entered all of the families into the draw and pull a name, and the winner of that draw is: Oaklyn!!

The gift certificates are located at the pre-kindergarten/Afterschool side

Congratulations to all of the winners. And good job to all of our kids on being such amazing kids and being thoughtful and caring.

REMINDER!!! THIS FRIDAY!!

Families of ALL programs:

This month we are learning about feelings and being good friends to everyone. Apart of the curriculum is reading "How to fill your bucket". The book is teaching about how we all have invisible buckets and when we do good things for people we fill their buckets and ours. It has definitely been great seeing all the kids give hugs, check on their friends and do kind acts.
If a teacher sees someone doing a kind act, or another child tells the teacher their friend is doing a kind act, those children will get a pom pom in "their buckets". Once the classroom bucket is full, we are going to celebrate by having and Ice Cream & Fruit Sundae buffet.
So, parents, please join us! Come and check out all the fun we've been having and catch up!

Can't wait to see you there.

No busses today. The roads are extremely icy.
Drive with care.
Our driveway is closed again.

For the afterschool program, if your child takes the bus, you are responsible for getting the to center at 3:00pm.

Families: The driveway is ice under water with all this warm weather, and salt isn’t doing much.
We are closing the driveway and asking parents to walk carefully along the bare walkway.

We also will be going for a walk today and doing some fun indoor gross motor activities as the yard is extremely icy as well.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐢-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥?
At our preschool, we believe every child is a unique individual with boundless potential. Our Montessori-inspired approach provides a nurturing, respectful, and enriching environment that fosters each child's natural development and love of learning.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐢 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
Montessori education is built on fundamental principles that support a child's holistic growth. It emphasizes respect for each child's personality, recognizing their individuality and learning style. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to be calm, beautiful, and child-centered, allowing children the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace within a structured yet flexible setting.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐢 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡:
- Respect for the Child: We honor each child's unique personality and developmental pace, creating an environment where children feel valued and motivated to explore their interests.
- Hands-On Learning: Children engage with specially designed materials that are tactile and engaging, helping them develop a deep understanding of concepts through concrete experiences.
- Individualized Learning: Our teachers observe and understand each child's strengths and challenges, guiding them through personalized activities rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
- Fostering Independence: Children are encouraged to choose their activities, work at their own pace, and take responsibility for their learning—building confidence and self-motivation.
- Prepared Environment: Our classrooms are organized with child-sized furniture and materials arranged to promote order, calm, and focus, supporting independent exploration and discovery.
- Holistic Development: Our curriculum encompasses practical life skills, sensorial activities, language, mathematics, and cultural studies, nurturing not only academic skills but also emotional and social growth.
- Role of the Teacher: Instead of directing every step, our teachers act as guides, introducing materials and observing each child's progress, which helps foster a strong, supportive relationship and a love for learning.
