I only eat 2 meals per day, breakfast and dinner.
I also don't do much snacking throughout the day either. If I do, it will be a pickle or some sort of meat.
Breakfast for today:
3 - eggs scrambled
3 - Bratwurst Sausages
I almost couldn't even finish what was on my plate and I won't even think about food for the rest of the day until dinner.
I finished breakfast at 7:45am and I'll have dinner at 3:30pm and won't eat again until tomorrow at breakfast.
This is because I have become metabolically flexible(I can switch between using glucose and fat for energy very easily) and I don't need to eat several times per day like I used to when I relied on only glucose(carbs & sugar) for fuel.
I don't ever count calories unless its out of my own curiosity and maintain my weight super easily.
I have spent many years playing around with my diet and it took me awhile to land on a keto diet.
I used to think what most you are probably thinking...
That keto is dangerous and bad for your health.... which it is not and is more aligned to how humans have been eating for a majority of history.

HOMA-IR is one of the simplest ways to see how insulin resistant you actually are, not just how your blood sugar looks.
Most people only ever see glucose on their labs.
That’s like checking your speed without looking at how hard your engine is working.
HOMA-IR shows the load on your system.
The formula:
Fasting glucose (mg/dL) × Fasting insulin (µIU/mL) ÷ 405
How to read it:
≤ 1.0
Insulin sensitive. This is the target.
1.0 – 1.9
Mild insulin resistance. Early warning stage.
1.9 – 2.9
Moderate insulin resistance. Metabolism is under strain.
≥ 2.9
Severe insulin resistance. High risk zone.
You can have “normal” blood sugar and still be insulin resistant.
Your pancreas just works harder to keep glucose looking fine.
That’s the problem.
By the time glucose rises, insulin resistance has usually been there for years.
HOMA-IR lets you see it early.
This is why insulin matters more than most people realize.
And why fixing metabolism starts long before diabetes ever shows up on paper.

Everyone talks about “balance” like it’s this holy grail of life and work...
But balance assumes equality.
As if every part of life deserves the same amount of time or focus...
That’s nonsense.
If you work 8 hours and sleep 8 hours, that leaves 8 hours for everything else...
Family, health, recovery, fun, learning, relationships...
It doesn’t work mathematically or logically.
What most people actually mean when they say “balance” is harmony.
They just haven’t taken the time to think about it.
Harmony is the right things, in the right amounts, for the season you’re in.
And that’s different for everyone.
Harmony means knowing what deserves your attention right now.
You can care about many things, but they can’t all matter equally.
The new dad.
The person in start-up grind mode.
The seasoned entrepreneur with breathing room.
All different seasons.
All valid.
Life isn’t about equal parts...
It’s about appropriate parts.
When your actions align with your priorities and your season, that’s harmony...
That’s when life feels right.
How do you see it? Does “balance” still make sense to you?

Its simple, not easy. Don't over complicate it.

I don't take very many supplements but rhodiola has been a great for me.
I'm stressed to the max and after taking this for a bit it seems to lighten to load and my energy is noticeably better throughout the day.
Anyone else have good results from this?

We can make things as hard or easy as we want them to be.
Our problem isn't a lack of knowledge. The problem is lack of action.
What are you procrastinating on that you know you need to do today?

A daily reminder that the obstacle is the way.
I used to want to run away from the challenges in life but now I use that as an indication that I need to lean into it.
Its the best opportunity to grow.

10 Signs You Could Have Inulin Resistance.
This isn’t a quiz. It’s a reality check...
The questions below aren’t meant to label you.
They’re meant to show how far down the insulin resistance path you might already be.
Each “yes” gives you clarity.
Clarity gives you direction.
And direction is what actually leads to change.
10 Signs to Watch For
1. Belly fat
Especially the hard, protruding kind. That’s visceral fat, and it’s strongly tied to insulin resistance.
2. Struggling to lose weight on low-fat diets
If low-fat never worked, it’s often because they are high in carbs and keep insulin high.
3. Heart disease or chronic inflammation
High blood pressure, arterial issues, or heart disease often trace back to insulin resistance.
4. High triglycerides
One of the clearest lab markers of metabolic dysfunction. Strongly linked to stroke and diabetes risk.
5. Gout
High uric acid and insulin resistance often go hand in hand.
6. Skin tags or darkened skin patches
Common around the neck, armpits, or joints. A physical sign of insulin-driven cell growth.
7. Type 2 diabetes
You can’t have type 2 diabetes without insulin resistance.
8. PCOS (in women)
The most common cause of infertility in women. Directly tied to insulin resistance.
9. Erectile dysfunction (in men)
Often, one of the earliest warning signs appears years before other symptoms appear.
10. Feeling “hangry” or addicted to sugar
Crashing after meals, constant snacking, or sugar cravings point to poor metabolic flexibility.
If several of these hit close to home it's information you can use. The good news is you can do something about it.
Once you understand insulin resistance, you can finally start fixing the root problem instead of chasing symptoms.

What is your New Year's Resolution?🤔
12/19/2025
I started learning about insulin resistance when I realized how big of a problem it actually is.
In the United States, only about 12% of adults have good metabolic health....
That means roughly 88% are insulin resistant to some degree.
This isn’t just an American issue.
It’s global.
Insulin resistance is one of the most common underlying drivers of chronic disease we see today, especially in men....
Think...
- Type 2 diabetes
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Fatty liver
- PCOS
- Erectile dysfunction
- Alzheimer’s
Different diagnoses. Same root problem.
Most people don’t even know insulin resistance exists...
I was one of those people.
Once I started learning about it, a lot of things in my own life made sense...
- Midday energy crashes
- Constant hunger
- High blood pressure with no clear explanation
- Chronic heartburn
None of it felt random anymore.
Seeing how widespread this problem is and how little it’s talked about is what pushed me to start speaking up and helping men address the root cause instead of chasing symptoms.
I’ve built a free group where I share what I’m learning, and what actually helps men improve their metabolic health.
If this resonates, it might be worth paying attention.
