Hello all! We are very sad to announce that we did not secure enough enrolled students to run this program for the 2023/2024 school year. We are so thankful for everyone who supported us and we hope that we can try again in future years.

While we are waiting to see how many in-person support days we can offer each week, we've designed a Google Form to get your feedback on which days work best for you and your family. Please rank the days according to your most preferred (First Choice) to least preferred (Fifth Choice). Your feedback will help us structure support for your learners!

In-Person Preference What days would you like to see in person support offered at Aster Learning Centre?

We've had a few people reach out about elementary offerings the last few weeks, so we'd like to address that option here!

We have advertised grade 8-12 offerings for the 2023/24 school year as we thought this would have the most community interest and need. We are seeing more interest in elementary offerings and so we'd like to say that we can in fact offer online programming to elementary aged students. As this is our first year, we are going to extend our offering to middle years elementary, meaning students in grades 3-7 are welcome to enroll with us. We would like to eventually reach a K-12 offering, but we need to see an increased enrollment, so that we can hire teachers specialized in those younger years.

Hope that creates more opportunities for some of the families in our community. Again, please reach out if you have any questions or specific needs as we are definitely looking to work with you to fill the educational gaps in our community!

As the new school year is fast approaching we wanted to update you all with how things are going!

SD71 (NIDES) has started up again and we are told we will have an updated enrollment count by the end of the week! What does that mean? Well, we need a minimum of 10 students for this program to run and at our last update (mid July) we were over halfway there! If you are interested in taking courses with us, now is the time to register to ensure we can bring this awesome program to our community!

Remember, we have both full time and cross enrolled options, so check out all the fantastic course offerings to see what you could take with us that isn't offered at PSO.
