Shout out to Ernie the EISS Eagle (ESS School Advisory Council - Parent Council) for helping our students get to school safely (and with a little extra encouragement too!).

As you prepare for the first day of school tomorrow, take some time to familiarize yourself with the detour plans to help ensure a safe and efficient way to school tomorrow.

For those driving in the area, please remember that students and families are also navigating new routes. Be patient, give yourself extra time and stay alert.

Direction from Loyalist Township :
🚙Drivers approaching from the east can use Scotland Road and Old Wilton Road to access the school area from the north.
🚙Drivers from the West side of the village are encouraged to use one of the suggested park and walk locations or will need to take the detour around the construction zone to Old Wilton Road.
🚫Parking at the Firehall or local businesses is not permitted and subject to enforcement.
🚶Families are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternatives to driving directly to the school wherever possible.
🅿The road adjacent to Dopking Park is available as a parking option for caregivers and members of the public. Using this option, where practical, will help reduce traffic congestion around the school.
🅿The parking lot at Centennial Park is available as a parking option for members of the public approaching from the north on Old Wilton Road. Using this option could help reduce traffic congestion around the school.
🌉Pedestrian access across the bridge on Main Street will be maintained and accessible at all times.

The first day of school is almost here! 🎉

Students return to Limestone schools on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Please ensure to leave extra time for drop-off and pick-up as there will be more congestion than normal. Stay alert and aware as both pedestrians and drivers will be navigating through construction and unfamiliar routes.

As the first day of school approaches, I would like to provide you with some important information:

(1) Classroom Placement -- Please know that we are carefully working on the class lists and your child's assigned teacher will be reaching out to you by email on the PA Day (September 1st) to let you know where your child will be placed for this new school year. Your patience and understanding are sincerely appreciated as we work to complete this process.

(2) Access to School -- Please refer to the Loyalist Township's website for the most up-to-date information regarding detours, etc. during the reconstruction process. More information will be forthcoming before the first day of school.
