🌸 It’s officially mai… but don’t confuse it with mais! 😄
French Trivia of the Month ✨
📅 mai = May
🤔 mais = but
That one little “s” makes a BIG difference, but be careful, the it's a silent "s" !
Example:
🌷 Nous sommes en mai !
(It’s May!)
🌳 Je veux aller au parc, mais je n’ai pas le temps.
(I want to go to the park, but I don't have the time.)
💡 French can be tricky… mais fun too! 😉

In France, February 2nd is La Chandeleur, also known as Candlemas or Crêpe Day. Celebrating families gather to make and enjoy crêpes — a delicious tradition symbolizing light, luck, and togetherness. Sweet or savoury… which do you choose?
✨ At our French camps, we also offer fun cooking workshops where kids can learn to make crêpes and other tasty French treats, all while learning instructions in French! Visit our website to learn more! 🫕

“Il fait un froid de canard” literally means “It’s duck-cold”, but in English we would say “It’s freezing cold!” 🥶
It’s a fun French expression used when the weather is extremely cold.
The idea is that if it’s cold enough for ducks, it’s really cold!
👉 Example: « Je mets mon manteau, il fait un froid de canard aujourd’hui ! »
Stay warm out there! 🧣☕
