It's been a week of intensive composing, producing and mixing at Sheridan studios in a very limited time. Preparation, creativity, efficiency, good communication, motivation, and many more things are involved in this process, and our students had the chance to do it all themselves. These are some pics of this excellent 4 days immersion at the studio.
Let us introduce you to CJ, the narrative lead of the video game "The Nine Tales". This is an amazing collaboration where our MSSS students took over very important roles in the audio team...

We have a special guest this week for our Mixing Class! The Juno Award and Polaris Music Prize nominated Alex Gamble! He's an established producer, Mix Engineer and Recording Engineer in Toronto with vast experience in the field. We'll be covering topics like mixing in Atmos!

Our faculty member Felipe Téllez, has been working closely with the Canadian Studio Symphony orchestra, and very renowned soloist towards the release of his next orchestral work. We want to congratulate Felipe for being the recipient of this important grant sponsored by the Canada Council for the Arts | Conseil des arts du Canada, and we look forward to hear the result of this project very soon!

It is a pleasure for us to see the development of our students in the real world. "María Camila's gift" is a Short FIlm scored by David Saldarriaga, and it will be now screened at the Kineko International Film Festival 2022.

A good production is the result of a careful and tasteful blend of various elements that contribute to the narrative of a unique story. "Guardians" has been awarded for Best Non-fiction Production at the Sheridan Screen Awards 2022.
Our student Juliette Jones was part of this great film as the music composer!

We want to start the week with amazing news!
Meet Pete Zhao, our student at the MSSS program who has been awarded Best Film Score at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
Congratulations to Pete for his amazing music, and to Lucas Di Mascio who worked as Mixing engineer. Also congrats to the talented team behind “Inner Balance” as they are now Official Selection 2022 for the festival.
