Calling all prospective WOSS DECA mentors and mentees! 🤩🤩🤩 This year, we're running a pilot program to supplement your DECA experience.

If you're in grade 9 or 10, you can apply as a mentee and be matched with a mentor who will help guide you. If you're in grade 11 or 12 and want to share your knowledge and expertise by taking on a leadership role, you should apply as a mentor!

DECA PROVINCIALS 2019 | 02.07.19-02.16.19

The WOSS DECA family grew tremendously this year; not only in size, but also in achievements!

With a membership of 306 students, we were titled both the largest DECA chapter in Ontario (for a second year in a row) and the fastest expanding chapter with ~80 more members than the year before.

In addition to our remarkable chapter size, we broke records in medalists and ICDC qualifiers. After months of practicing case studies, perfecting written reports and the *occasional* snack parties held on third floor, our chapter took home a total of 116 medals and 28 plaques. This places us as the fifth top chapter out of 199 in Ontario!

The hard work and grind does not stop here. We're stocking up on sunscreen and sunglasses - while practicing even more case studies and presentations, of course - as 30 of our members fly to the sunny state of Florida for ICDC in April!

Last weekend, WOSS DECA participated at the Hamilton Regionals and achieved amazing results. With 130 ribbons and 40 medals, we have proven yet again, that hard work and grit pays off. We are incredibly proud of every single one of our members... but the competition isn't done yet.

10 executive members from our chapter attended the DECA Ontario Fall Symposium today. Students had the opportunity to network with representatives from CPA, University of Waterloo, and Vector Marketing, along with partcipate in a workshop to prepare for the busy and exciting year ahead.

We are delighted to present the 2018/2019 executive team; a group of 30 very talented and dedicated students!

2018 NHBC CHAMPIONS | 06.16.18

This past weekend, 16 White Oaks DECA members attended the National High School Business Conference, a 12-hour event with special key-note speakers from the executive board of Deloitte Canada, Ivey Business School, and Concentra Bank.

Students participated in a high level case-study competition along with a pitching contest, focusing on the pillars of Consulting, Finance and Technology.

We are incredibly proud to congratulate the team of Areeb, Jason, Matt, Sonya, and Olivia for placing first! Great job WOSS!
