New Blog - The Sound of Dad: Why Fathers Matter More Than Ever
What if the most important thing a father gives a child isn’t advice, discipline, or milestone moments but something much simpler and more lasting?
With Father’s Day here today, this month’s blog from Celeste at Simply Family Solutions explores the surprising power of everyday connection between fathers and children, and how these small, repeated moments can shape confidence, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging over time.
From bedtime routines and shared songs to everyday conversations and family traditions, it looks at how children are constantly building their sense of self through these seemingly ordinary interactions.
It’s a thoughtful Father’s Day reflection that may shift the way you see the “little” moments at home - and why they matter far more than we often realize.

That’s a wrap! Thank you to ALL of our families who joined us for our Spring semester! It’s time to say goodbye to the Maracas song collection and prepare for KAZOO and our summer family classes! We begin on July 4th in a music circle near you! Spots are still available - don’t forget to register!
In June, someone is going to tell you to register for TipToe Music’s summer classes
.and it’s very important that you do.
Here’s why:
Summer is full of new experiences, changing routines, family vacations, and busy days. Music gives children something familiar to hold onto. It helps them stay connected, keep learning, build confidence, and continue developing the skills they’ve worked so hard on all year.
Plus, let’s be honest - six weeks of singing, dancing, instrument play, and making memories together sounds a lot better than hearing “I’m bored!” by week two of summer break!
Our summer session begins July 7th and we’d love to spend part of your summer making music with your family.

Sometimes families need a little extra support, and that’s exactly why TipToe Cares exists.
We believe every child deserves the chance to experience the joy, learning, confidence, and connection that music can bring.
Thanks to the generosity of our TipToe community, we’re able to offer financial assistance to families who may be facing barriers to participation, helping more children and caregivers join us in class.
If you’d love to be part of our summer session but finances are making it difficult, we encourage you to apply.
Applications close Friday, June 19th, and all inquiries are handled confidentially.

A new summer offering is coming to TipToe Music! 🎶
We’re excited to introduce a special 3-week Introduction to Music Series, in partnership with The New Mummy Company.
Designed for babies newborn to 9 months and their grownups, this gentle series is an opportunity to slow down, connect, and discover how music can support your baby’s development during these precious early months.
Each week you’ll sing, move, and play together while exploring simple musical activities you can easily bring into everyday life at home. Along the way, you’ll connect with other new parents in a warm, welcoming space.
More than a music class, this series is a chance to build confidence, community, and meaningful connection with your baby through the joy of music-making together.
Registration opens June 18th and spaces will be limited.

I am SOOOOOOO ready for summer music classes. ☀️🎶
In just 3 weeks, we’ll be back together making music, moving our bodies, laughing with friends, and creating the kind of summer memories that stick long after the season ends.
Our music class is never just music class.
It’s children building confidence through play, families connecting without distractions, friendships forming between songs and shakers and community that celebrates milestones, supports one another, and grows together.
And while the fun is obvious, something even bigger is happening too. Every song, every rhythm, every shared musical experience is laying the foundation for lifelong music learning during the years when children are most ready to absorb it. It maybe summer - but we can keep the learning alive together!
Music education.
Family connection.
Community.
Joy.
Belonging.
That’s the kind of summer we’re counting down to.

A little reminder: not all learning looks the same.
The child who seems to be watching instead of singing?
Learning.
The child who wanders around the room instead of sitting in the circle?
Learning.
The child who doesn’t join in during class but sings every song at home?
Definitely learning.
Young children learn in many different ways, and participation doesn’t always look the way adults expect it to.
In our Music Together classes, children are free to engage at their own pace. Some jump right in. Some observe first. Some spend weeks taking it all in before suddenly revealing just how much they’ve absorbed.
Case in point? The little one in this video - sent to us by one of our families - it just happened, unplanned, in the middle of dinnertime!
One evening at dinner, she got up from the table, started running around it, and began singing a song from class earlier that week.
No prompting. No performance. Just music that had become part of her world. That’s when you realize: she was learning the whole time.
You’ll hear it in the back seat.
You’ll see it during bath time.
You’ll catch it at the dinner table.
The learning doesn’t stop when class ends!
Trust the process. Trust your child. And keep making music together. You’ll find the magic often shows up in the moments you least expect.
