Constructive feedback helps make for effective leadership, it is essential for fostering growth and development within employees and teams, and one popular technique for delivering such feedback is the "feedback sandwich" method.

Forbes explains the methodology as follows: Imagine a Sandwich: Positive-Negative-Positive. Start the feedback session with positive comments, which reduce anxiety and give the recipient an early “win.” Then, offer comments for improvement. Be very specific. Ending the session on a positive note acts as a call to action - "here is what we need to do going forward."

This approach, therefore, involves presenting constructive feedback between two positive comments, creating a "sandwich" of praise and critique. While the feedback sandwich has its advantages, it also has drawbacks. Read our latest blog to learn more.

Feeling less productive this summer? You're not alone. Productivity can drop by up to 20%, with over half of employees feeling more distracted and many struggling with post-vacation blues. The warm weather and longer days can lead to daydreaming, and the relaxed office vibe with many on vacation disrupts regular work routines. Transitioning from leisure to work can also decrease motivation.

To stay productive, try setting small goals and tackling the most important tasks first. Taking short outdoor breaks can refresh your mind, and creating a routine that balances work and summer activities can help maintain focus. Staying hydrated and scheduling vacations strategically can also make a big difference.
