HDSB Director Series….. check it out!

HDSB families, students, staff and community members are invited to an upcoming session of the Director’s Panel Series: A More Human Vision of AI on Monday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m.

This virtual session will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is showing up all around us and why it is essential for schools, students and families to approach its use with intention, responsibility and a strong sense of humanity. Join us for a conversation featuring industry thought leader Kulbir Colin Singh Dhillon, writer of Soulful AI, to examine how we can ensure emerging technologies reflect humanity rather than replace them. Together, the panel will explore what it means to use and live alongside AI in ways that prioritize empathy, ethics, creativity and purpose so that as technology advances, our humanity advances with it.

Registration is not required. Those interested in attending the event can submit a question to the panel before the session. Learn more and submit your questions at https://tinyurl.com/y8mp78s6

Keep Education Close to Home 11/04/2025

Bill 33 is scheduled for another reading & debate on Nov 5th…with a real potential for a vote on THURSDAY ‼️
Ideally, a Bill with such far reaching consequences should go to a Committee for more fulsome deliberation and public consultation ‼️
This Bill will give the Minister of Education powers beyond what is currently in the Education Act, silencing parent voice 🚨
Check out this link 👇 and contact your MPP

Keep Education Close to Home Ontario’s public school boards give families a real voice in education. Now, that voice is at risk.
