Linbrook School

Our goal is to apply teaching methods in tune with boys’ optimal learning styles in an environment customized to suit their needs.

The Linbrook approach supports teaching methods and learning spaces that encourage movement, inspire the pursuit of knowledge, and offer a warm and supportive environment. With access to training by leading experts on boys’ education, our staff members understand and are passionate about how boys learn. To support a well-rounded student, Linbrook offers a diverse range of extra-curricular and intramural activities. Students will be encouraged to strengthen existing skills and also engage in new activities. In addition to a variety of sports, opportunities will include chess, photography, dance, choir, visual arts, film, music lessons, lego/robotics and philanthropy. Our teachers strive to help boys understand the world in which they live and encourage social and moral responsibility. At Linbrook, our students and their families have meaningful opportunities to actively engage in workshops and events that build a positive self-image and a sense of identity within our community.

Each year, our community comes together to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to reflect on the history and lasting impact of residential schools.

This year, our Grade 8 students helped lead the school in recognizing the day with a thoughtful presentation that encouraged us to learn from the past and consider our role in building a more respectful and understanding future.

Thank you to our Grade 8 students, teachers and families for helping create space for this important conversation.

little science, a little creativity and a whole lot of fun! Our SK students explored the science behind clouds with a hands-on experiment. Learning is always better when you can see the magic happen right in front of you!

Outdoor learning at its best!

Our Grade 5 and 6 boys spent the day at Mountsberg Conservation Area, putting their survival skills to the test with Predator vs. Prey and exploring bog, swamp and marsh habitats while dip fishing for tadpoles, snails, water bugs and tiny fish.

The day wrapped up at the bird enclosure, where the boys got up close with Great Horned Owls, Bald Eagles and Turkey Vultures, and picked up some pretty fascinating facts along the way.

A day full of adventure and plenty of stories to bring home!

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Curriculum Night and Parents’ Social. It was a great opportunity to connect with teachers, leadership and fellow parents.

We were proud to share our vision for the future of Linbrook, grounded in our ROAR values: Relationships, Opportunities, Academics and Risk Taking.

Thank you to our incredible parents, teachers and staff, and to our P.A. Co-Presidents, Shadi and Sarah, for helping make our community, and the evening, so special!

Our Grade 2 and Grade 6 buddies are off to a great start!

The buddy program gives our boys the opportunity to build meaningful connections across grades, while developing leadership, kindness, responsibility and confidence.

Older students have the chance to mentor and encourage younger boys, while younger students have someone to look up to and share special moments with!

Our U-10 Lions had a fantastic day at the PSAA Soccer Tournament at Mattamy Sports Park!

The boys played excellent soccer throughout the day, showcasing their skills while continuing to learn and grow as a team.

The Lions finished the tournament with two wins! An outstanding achievement!

Well done, boys! We’re so proud of you!

Our U-12 Lions had a strong showing at the PSAA Soccer Tournament!

From marking players and creating space to receive passes to adapting to the challenges of competitive play, every game was an opportunity to improve. Our coaches are incredibly proud of the boys’ teamwork, determination and perseverance.

Well done, Lions, on a great tournament!

Another incredible Terry Fox Run in the books!

Our boys came together once again to honour Terry’s legacy, taking part in our annual run with incredible energy and school spirit. The afternoon was filled with plenty of friendly House competition and a shared commitment to making a difference.

It was wonderful to see our boys learning about Terry’s story and then putting those lessons into action by running together, supporting one another and raising funds for such an important cause.

Thank you to our Linbrook families for your incredible support. We’re so proud of our boys and the way they continue to carry Terry’s legacy forward, one step at a time.

T is for Terry!

Our Linbrook boys have been learning all about the meaningful story of Terry Fox as they get ready for our upcoming Terry Fox Run!

In our JK class, the boys are discovering what it means to be brave and to keep going even when something feels hard.

We love watching our boys learn about Terry’s legacy and the importance of coming together as a community to help others.

The Kindergarten boys have been having a blast learning with their friends! From specialty classes like music, art and gym, to recess and fun events like FROSH, it’s truly been a memorable first week for our youngest learners!
