What an incredible set of curious explorers we had at our session Gym&Juice !
While the kids were uncovering the secrets of the Rock Cycle through hands-on experiments some of the parents got their workout in right downstairs! We’ve got so many more extreme environments ahead — deserts, volcanoes, frozen lands, deep sea — and we’ll explore how life still thrives in each through hands-on adventures in the weeks to come. Want to join the fun? Send us a DM or register at https://www.biotroopers.com/register/after-school-etobicoke!

🧪 Fun Science Fact of the Week:

Scientists baked sourdough bread using yeast strains recovered from Ötzi the Iceman, a 5,300-year-old mummy discovered frozen in the Alps. The ancient yeast was still capable of fermentation, producing a loaf that researchers described as quite similar to regular dough!

Next on their list? Brewing b**r with the same microbes. 🍞❄️🍺
