The rusty wheel is not getting the oil with these beauties! My fibre artist friend and I are playing with our rusty bits and look what we got! A great simple but effective technique using the dashboard of the car and vinegar! So much possibility. Stay tuned to when we tea dye these pieces later today.

Making progress with my 100 days of meditation stitching. I have chosen to use only my rust dyed and eco printed fabrics. Each fabric piece will suggest/direct the stitching….at least for now! 100 days is a lot of stitching!

I am going to give it a go…the 100 day stitch meditation facilitated by Liz Kettle. I am currently only 2 days behind but will catch up! I have decided to use an “organic” approach to my fabric selection and select rust, hand dyed as well as my eco printed fabrics. The stitching will just happen - at least that is the plan! Day one is complete with rust dye fabric and an old tea bag…so far a good start!

Snow Dying
With so much snow…why not give snow dying a try. I used a combination of natural and manufactured powdered dyes with PFD fabric mordanted with soda ash. I am pleased with the results!
