“Never help a child with a task at which they feel they can succeed.” — Maria Montessori
Every opportunity to try, explore, and persevere helps children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.☀️❤️📚

Research shows that the first three years of a child’s life are very important for language development. By creating a home filled with conversation and spoken language, children have more opportunities to grow their understanding (receptive language) and their ability to communicate (expressive language).

Help me do it myself. Building independence and confidence. We love being able to observe these skills unfold and make them feel more confident and independent. ✨✨✨
🌿✨🦋💙Learning About National Indigenous History Month.
During circle time, we introduced the Casa children to National Indigenous History Month through age-appropriate conversations, stories, music, art, and cultural learning experiences.
We explored the rich histories, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, while fostering respect, curiosity, and appreciation for the diverse cultures that have shaped Canada. 🇨🇦
By engaging in meaningful discussions and experiences, children begin to develop an understanding of the importance of community, connection to the land, and the value of learning from different perspectives. 🧡🌿✨
“Education is the pathway to understanding, respect,, and reconciliation.”
We were fortunate to also enjoy special artifacts from Thorah Island and connected the items to the land and the Ojibwe people. The children learned about how Indigenous peoples have a deep relationship with the land, water, plants, and animals.
At Dearcroft Rebecca we are committed to connecting children to nature and their environment and the natural world around them.
Through story telling, reading books, creating hands-on experiences, examining elder cards, and inviting the children to observe their surroundings in nature this inspires children to have respect for the land, community, storytelling, and observation creates a meaningful foundation that is developmentally appropriate and aligns with Montessori cultural studies. 🧡🌿
Celebrating our World Cup Dads this Father’s Day! ⚽️🥅
Thank you to Fit For Fun (Coach Dana) for the special programming for our event! We had a blast! 💥
Wishing all of our Dearcroft Rebecca families a wonderful day filled with love and joy! 🤩
Last our Casa students (Year 2,and Year 3) students enjoyed a fun field trip to the Oakville museum. The bus ride alone was enough to make everyone’s day! There was lots of excitement, plenty of waving out the windows. The children explored fascinating artifacts and enjoyed discovering how people lived in the past. We also spent some time outside enjoying the beautiful gardens, each child had the chance to plant their own little plant to bring back to school. It was a day full of learning, adventure, and happy memories. 🌱💚🌿✨
