We're an inclusive environment for neurodivergent children, designing development programs to maximize their potential and unlock their superpower!

The theme of our recent Kids Signature class was Mindsets 🔌

Each participant received their new LEGO block titled "Mindsets", marking our learning objective for the week.

Parents can learn more about what a "mindset" is, why it is important, how it influences individual self talk and actions and how you can support and develop your child's (and your own!) growth mindset by visiting our resource page.

Our co-op students are collaborating on projects that will impact how we support neurodivergent kids and families.

The work is well underway, and we're so grateful for their creativity, dedication, and vision.

(Sneak peek coming soon... and you're going to love it 👀)

Thank you to our incredible co-op team. My Outlet is lucky to have you 💙

Fixed mindsets became growth mindsets 💙

Our professional illustrators—Ashante, Isabelle, and Paige—joined us to help kids explore the power of mindset. Through flexible thinking, productive struggle, and reframing negative self-talk, kids learned that challenges aren't roadblocks—they're opportunities.

And then they saw it come to life. Stagnant thoughts transformed into beautiful, resilient structures through illustration.

"I can't" became "I can learn." Stuck thinking became flexible thinking. Struggle became growth.

🙌A special moment: This was our first-of-its-kind combined Kids class + Parents Fitness class! While kids explored mindsets with our illustrators and Facilitators, parents moved and energized their bodies and participated in a Q&A with our child advocate and facilitator Lauren Pelc.

Each child left with their "Mindsets" LEGO block and a mindset shift that matters.

Parents: Curious about fixed vs. growth mindset? Head to our resource page to learn how to support this at home 🔗 https://www.channelmyoutlet.com/post/mindsets

Last week's session was all about understanding how our bodies and brains work 🧠💙

Through movement, hands-on activities, and self-reflection, our kids explored their sensory systems ➡️ discovering their sensory preferences, recognizing body cues, and finding strategies that help them feel calm, focused, and regulated.

Each child earned their "Sensory Needs" LEGO block this week marking another tool in their growing toolkit of self-awareness.

They left with practical strategies they can use at home, at school, and in everyday life. Tools that give them power over how they feel.

BHS of My Outlet co-op students at their weekly meeting 💙

With a button-press machine and magnet maker, they spent the afternoon turning their illustrations into tangible pieces — buttons, magnets, and keychains featuring their artwork.

The people who didn't know each other a few weeks ago have become a great team, genuinely enjoying each other's company. The conversations and ideas they're sharing are building a strong foundation for their project outcomes.

We can't wait to share what they're creating with you! 🎨✨

One of our recent Kids Signature Program classes was all about rhythm, confidence, and making NOISE 🥁

Facilitator Jonah led a bucket drumming session that connected rhythm and music to confidence building. Every beat was a chance to try something new. And every child left with their "Confidence" LEGO block—and a little more belief in themselves.

Confidence isn't built overnight. It's built in small, intentional moments ➡️ Visit our resource page (link in bio) to learn how you can support confidence building at home.

🔌Coming up next this Sunday: We're welcoming a pediatric occupational therapist for an experiential class on sensory systems. Your child will explore their own sensory needs and leave with greater self-awareness 🧠✨

No Kids Signature Program Class this weekend!

This long weekend is the perfect time to pause, recharge, and practice what we've been building together.

Bring the LEGO Toolkit home:
🧱 Boundaries – Practice with your child saying "yes," "no," and "I need space"
🧱 Friendships – Host a low-key playdate or reflect on what makes a good friend
🧱 Third Spaces – Explore a new space together (park, library, backyard hideout)
🧱 Confidence – Celebrate something your child did well this week
🧱 Chill Zone – Create a calm-down corner together at home with cozy seating and sensory tools

These are skills we practice on Sundays. And these are tools your child can use every day. Read more about them on our resource page (link in bio). 🔗

Enjoy the long weekend with your family. We'll see you back here soon! 🌸
