Our students had the opportunity to attend Opera Atelier’s Making of an Opera workshop, exploring the many elements that bring an opera to life. Through hands-on workshops in music, dance, drama, set design, and stage combat, students got a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process surrounding The Descent of Orpheus.

This year’s walk-a-thon fundraiser was an incredible success and a wonderful day of community building! From the carnival and ice cream truck to the free lunch and prizes, it was a memorable event for everyone involved. Because of your generosity, we raised an amazing $5,095 for our sister schools in the Philippines and Eritrea, providing much-needed resources for their students. Ground UP: A Festival of New Musicals is a showcase of new musicals from the Grade 12 Musical Theatre Class.
Audiences will be treated to a shortened version of 2 or 3 new musicals created by CCAA students. Students will pitch a new musical sharing the story, a scene, song and an ensemble number from their new work. They will then be adjudicated by professionals in the industry.

Please come out to see their work! This is a FIRST for Cardinal Carter.

The show is on June 3rd from 4-6pm.
