We finished our first month of our summer program, it was a great success. For the last two weeks we did a disco theme. We made our own tie die T shirts and disco balls. Finishing of the week with a Wii disco dance off. Our last week was Pirates. We made a great pirate ship, hats and pirate patches. It was good fun. We ended off the week going to White Spot for a Pirate pack lunch. We are closed for the first two weeks of August, but will resume on Monday the 18th. With a new theme so stayed tuned.

Today brings the end of the 2nd themed week at the daycare, this week being Mexico themed. We learned about this colourful country by taking out books from the library and presenting a "fun fact" each day. We were inspired by Mexico's delicious cuisine and exuberant celebrations and decided to wrap up the week with our own fiesta. Complete with a taco lunch, spanish music, and a homemade piñata, this fiesta is going to be a blast!

We finished our first week of the summer program which was a great success! This summer we are carrying out themes for each week. This past week was space themed. We made rockets, space mobiles and had space themed snacks. Despite the Vancouver rain, we are going ahead with a Mexican theme next week. Stay tuned for our Mexican themed activities and adventures!
