Yesterday, January 4, marked National Ribbon Skirt Day—a time to recognize the power and beauty of this sacred garment.
Historically a symbol of womanhood, identity, and resilience, the ribbon skirt’s colours and patterns tell the unique story of the wearer, connecting her spirit to the Earth.
It stands as an emblem of endurance and strength—representing the revival of Indigenous traditions and culture after centuries of oppression.
