Camp Monarch – Celebrating 23 Years of Arts Education in North Vancouver!

Now in its 23rd year, Camp Monarch is a joyful, screen-free summer day camp where children ages 5–12 explore visual art, music, dance, and drama in a supportive and creative environment.

Campers rotate daily through four artistic disciplines, led by professional artists and experienced educators who specialize in working with kids.

✨ There's something magical about letting children explore the great outdoors - and science agrees! Research shows that outdoor play is crucial for children's development, which is why at Wonderstruck, we make nature an essential part of our magical experience.
Whether they're following fairy lights along forest paths, helping mermaids by crystal-clear streams, or practicing wizard skills in open meadows, our campers spend about half their time embracing outdoor adventures. Every natural space becomes part of our magical world!
Safety is our top priority, which is why we maintain staff-to-child ratios that go well beyond required standards. Our highly trained team members know exactly how to guide magical adventures through rivers, fields, and forest paths while keeping everyone safe and engaged.

✨ Every magical day at Wonderstruck begins with a gentle welcome! We believe in "soft starts" - peaceful morning moments where our Magic Apprentices can ease into their daily adventures in whatever way feels right to them.
Some young Apprentices head straight to our magical library, finding comfort in stories about mythical creatures. Others settle in at our craft tables, creating beautiful magical art or simply enjoying some peaceful coloring time. There's no rush, no pressure - just space to begin each day in a way that feels comfortable and natural.
We've found that giving children this gentle transition time helps them feel more confident and ready for the magical adventures ahead. After all, even the most powerful magic starts with a calm heart! 💫
