ULP is where children grow through play! Upper Lonsdale Preschool is a parent-run, non-profit preschool.

As North Vancouver's longest standing preschool operating for over 75 years, we build and engage with our community, are parent-run and not-for-profit. We offer morning and afternoon preschool classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our open door policy allows parents to be as involved as they choose in their child's first educational experience.

Together some children made a ‘potato watering machine’ equip with ‘tunnels to make sure water got to the roots’. They basically created a subsurface irrigation stake with a rotating arm to top up each potato bucket! 🥔🌱

This week we thought about stewardship, we learned about the black bears that live in our neighbourhoods and how we can coexist safely, in the process of creating we discovered some science, we built projects out of recyclables and garbage, we made another layer on our community art project and together decided next steps! After school some of us headed to the park! What a wonderful week! 💚💙

Thank you for visiting our classroom! Learning about bears and how to live with them safely is super important in North Vancouver! We are so lucky to have the forest right outside of our door! ❤️🐻
