Knowledge needs time to take root. At VWS, students don't rush from topic to topic – they stay with a subject for three to four weeks, going deep before moving on.

Each morning begins with a two-hour main lesson: Form Drawing, Ancient Civilizations, Organic Chemistry. The subject changes every few weeks, but the approach stays the same – concepts come alive through story, movement, art, and discussion, and students record what they've learned in handwritten main lesson books filled with their own compositions, illustrations, and diagrams.

When they return to a subject later in the year, it has had time to settle. They understand it differently – more completely – than they did before.

Together, you raised $13,050. 🎉

That means a safer, more accessible pathway for families arriving at our Early Childhood Centre. It means fidgets, calming tools, and sound-suppression headphones for students who need them every day.

180 students walked and ran 5 km through Lynn Valley in the rain – some of them twice. High school students came out as running buddies. Parents showed up in bigger numbers than ever before.

This is what our community looks like when it moves together.

Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and cheered us on. And to for sponsoring this year's T-shirts.

Parent Education - Neurodevelopment & Behavioural Support
Saturday, June 6 | 10:00 am
Lynn Valley campus, Grade School Hall

In this session, Sandra will explore the neurodevelopmental foundations of learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation, and how sensory-motor development connects to academic readiness, behavioural patterns, and overall well-being. She will offer practical tools and insights for parents and caregivers across all age groups, with particular relevance for families supporting children with anxiety, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, or other developmental challenges.

This workshop is free and open to everyone. It is part of our Parent Education Series, which brings child development expertise to our broader community from a Waldorf perspective. Child care is available with pre-registration.

Take a bow! Our Grade 10 and 12 students delivered a hilarious, twist-filled production of Clue on Stage last Friday at Presentation House Theatre.
So proud of this cast and crew. Whodunit? They did. 👏
