A Day at the Farm 🐄🌾

What a beautiful day spent together! 💛 Our daycare families joined us at Maplewood farm today for a special family social filled with fresh air, animals, smiles, and lots of fun!

We loved having the opportunity to connect with our families outside of the classroom and create some special memories together. Thank you to all of our wonderful families who came out and made the day so special! 🐮🐴🌻

We’re already looking forward to our next family adventure! 💛

Our Sr. 3-5 classes got to have a special class today! We had a fun glass art workshop come and visit us. Each child got to make their name initial, they needed to select their glass pieces and carefully fill in their letter. ❤️

We now have to wait for our art to come back from the kiln! We can’t wait to see them next week 🎨

Our classroom has been filled with peeps of excitement as we welcomed our baby chicks! 🐣💛 Watching the eggs hatch and seeing the chicks take their first steps has been an incredible hands-on learning experience. The children have loved having these friendly fluff balls in our classrooms! The children embraced practicing gentle care, asking thoughtful questions, and sharing in the wonder of new life. 🌱✨

Of course the chicks needed a visit in the Infant and toddler rooms before they return to the farm. 🐥

Farm fun! Our early years have been loving learning about farm animals over the past few weeks 🐷🐓🐮

Today we had a very exciting and special visit! A huge thank you to the North Vancouver police department for coming to visit us today ❤️

The 3-5 rooms learnt some fire safety, how to stop-drop-and roll, how to get low and under smoke and we had a demonstration on all of the safety gear firefighters need to wear!

The 3-5 and infant/toddler rooms then got to check out the trucks! 🚒

What an exciting way to end our week, I am sure the children will be talking about this all weekend! ❤️
