“Down at the beach” was written (by me) to capture the feeling of a sunny day down on the shoreline. Funny sounds make it engaging for smaller littles too!

RIP to the faithful 8 foot piano mat that was the second instrument I bought post university graduation. It served us well!
Fun fact: when I started, Creative Connections Music Therapy I had a couple shakers, a wooden djembe, a guitar, this piano and a Toyota Corolla 😂.

All my ladies back on their newly tuned perch. This piano and I have some HISTORY.
My grandmother had these ladies on her piano when I was little. I loved to tinker. My grandmother lived to support my artistic endeavours, and bought me my first recorder. My parents poor ears.
In junior high I joined band and I learned to play flute, so she bought me my first flute. I loved that thing. Still have it at the studio.
I’ve known I wanted to be a music therapist since I was 14. So when I graduated high school I took all the money my family members (majority my grandmother) gave me and I bought a vintage piano. Mason and risch, just like my grandmothers.
I bought it so my music teacher could come to my parents home so I could learn the entry level skills for university level music. When I was accepted to Cap U I brought it with me from the prairies and played it every day of my undergrad. It’s moved through two basement suites and three apartments since then. My husbands poor ears. Lol.
Now my children tinker on it, so I wonder what stories and memories this purple piano’s next chapter holds.

Learning about scales in the studio today.
Handbells make such a rich multisensory tool for teaching a concept that can feel a little abstract!
“Feel the Beat” by request.

After much kerfuffle, we finally got a new A frame. As much as I adore being referred to as Lynn Creeks “best kept secret “, hopefully this helps you all locate the studio a little easier!
