A huge thank you to our wonderful Sunflower parent volunteer, Jenn, for sharing her time and talent with us for school photos today.
It is a beautiful reminder of what makes Sunflower special: families, educators, and children all connected through generosity and community.
Thank you, Jenn, for helping make photo day feel so warm and personal. 🌻📸

Winter joy, through their eyes ❄️🎨
We asked the children: “What are the things that bring you joy in the winter?”
This video is a glimpse of what they shared, in both colour and language: cozy moments, snowy adventures, and the kinds of joy that show up in the small things.
✨ Which phrase made you smile the most?

Little hands, big focus. Hammering nails and pulling them out is such a fun fine motor workout. 🔨✨

🌟 Spring Break Camp: IDOLS WEEK RECAP! 🌟
What an inspiring week! Our campers spent Spring Break exploring their heroes in science, music, art, and sports — and they brought the energy every single day! 💥
🎨 They painted like Yayoi
🔬 Experimented like Einstein
⚽ Played their hearts out like Messi
🎶 Danced and sang like Celine (have you ever played “pin the microphone on Celine Dion??”)
We also visited the Polygon Art Gallery and explored our local beaches — sparking creativity, curiosity, and connection with the world around us. Huge thanks to our amazing staff for making this week unforgettable!

In our Sundance class, we’re exploring the amazing world of trees! 🌳 We began by learning how to distinguish between deciduous and evergreen trees, and now we’ve brought our project indoors to dive into every detail. Using branches as artist tools, we’re examining the shapes, shadows, and outlines of trees. We love learning through play and art! This is a perfect example of how we embrace our Reggio-inspired approach, through documentation, discovery and a celebration of the 100 languages of learning.
