If your child is heading into grade 7 or 8, you already know the feeling: open houses, school tours, everyone at the soccer field comparing notes on Saturday mornings.

Our new blog post walks through the five questions that actually matter when choosing a high school in Metro Vancouver, from fit and peer environment to how a school supports students through the hard parts of grade 12.

We also talk about what makes Bodwell different: a campus community of local students and students from over 40 countries, counsellors who know each student personally, and options like weekday and full boarding for families who want that structure.

Why STEM Education Matters 07/14/2026

Software engineering, data science, AI development. The careers shaping your child's future barely existed in their current form ten years ago.

A strong high school STEM program does more than teach textbook concepts. It gives students the chance to build, test, and present real work, the kind of portfolio that stands out in competitive university applications.

Our latest blog looks at what separates a strong STEM program from a weak one, and how the Bodwell STEM Academy prepares students through project-based learning, AP courses, and university partnerships with U of T and Waterloo.

Did you know that Bodwell is the only high school in Western Canada with a formal partnership with the University of Toronto? As part of this partnership, UofT guarantees at least one $100K–$180K scholarship to a Bodwell grad every year. This year, two Bodwell graduates were awarded this scholarship 🎓

Congratulations to our 133-member graduating class of 2026 for earning $4 million CAD in scholarships and 412 offers to universities across Canada and worldwide. Alongside the 76 offers received from UofT, our students have also received offers from UBC, McGill, Kings College London (UK), Vanderbilt University (US), Waseda University (Japan), University of Melbourne (Australia), and many more.

These results reflect the hard work and ambition of our students, and the strength of our university preparatory program.

The Bodwell Class of 2026 is heading to universities across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and beyond, ready to begin their next chapter.

We were also honoured to welcome Joseph Wong, Vice President International at the University of Toronto, as our keynote speaker. His message to our graduates: "The differentiator is how well you tell your story."

Congratulations to every student who crossed the stage, and to the families who walked alongside them every step of the way.

Students from the STEM class and Chemistry 12 recently visited TRIUMF to explore Canada’s national particle accelerator laboratory.

During the visit, students learned about particle physics, medical isotope production, and advanced scientific research taking place right here in British Columbia. They had the opportunity to tour the facility, see cutting-edge technology in action, and connect classroom learning to real-world applications in science and engineering 🔧🔬
