Today in our Infant and Toddler room, we transformed our sensory bins into a hub of exploration and fine motor development. Watching these little hands navigate different textures and tools isn’t just adorable—it’s high-level learning in action!
Why Sensory Bins Matter:

• Fine Motor Precision: Using scoops and “grabbers” helps toddlers develop the hand-eye coordination and muscle strength needed for later skills like writing and using utensils.

• Cognitive Discovery: Sorting, pouring, and measuring introduces early math and science concepts like volume and cause-and-effect.

• Social Connection: Parallel play at the sensory table encourages sharing, communication, and observing peers in a collaborative environment.
