Easter sensory bin with colored rice!
On Thursday of last week we had lots of fun with our Easter sensory bin. A couple of the kiddos didn't get to use it because they were sick. So I brought it out again for them 🐰😊

We changed it up this morning, instead of painting with paintbrushes we used hot wheels!! The kids loved driving the cars through the paint and making tracks!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Our craft today was decorating a clover. Instead of using green paint the kids made it by mixing blue and yellow paint. After they painted the clovers they added some stickers to it. We played st Patrick's Day freeze dance and sang along to songs about st Patrick's Day. We also read some fun books!! 🍀 🌈

Pot of gold and rainbows 🌈
We made the rainbows by putting a drop of paint of each color onto the paper. Then with a ruler the kids pushed the colors across the paper. We added a pot of gold and a cotton ball cloud.
Half way through making the craft I noticed we made the colors of the rainbow upside down 🤦🤦

Kicking off our Saint Patrick's Day celebrations with a sensory bin! I colored some white rice green and added some st. Patrick's Day themed items. The kids are loving scooping and pouring the rice and finding the gold coins!
To color the white rice I mixed a couple of drops of green food coloring and rubbing alcohol in a to the rice in a ziplock bag. Once rice was coated in the color I poured the rice onto baking sheets and spread out to dry. You can also use tempra paint instead of food coloring.

We beat the cold this morning by staying inside with a sensory activity! We combined cornstarch dish soap and hair conditioner to create a soft dough, so soft it feels like a cloud!!
