Our preschoolers had fun creating their own colourful apples! Using paint and paper plates, they got creative while exploring colours and talking about apples and the different kinds and colours of apples. This activity encouraged fine motor skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and language development through hands-on learning.

Our preschoolers had fun exploring different coloured pom-poms using tweezers and their fingers! They practiced picking up, sorting, and sticking the pom-poms onto the tape, creating their own patterns and designs. This activity encouraged fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, colour recognition, and concentration while learning through hands-on play.

Last week we put out a provocation for the children with a variety of natural materials and loose parts. The items provided were wood rounds, rocks, wooden spools, acorns previously collected from our yard, metal buckets and tray, small paper cups, and tiny wooden scoops.

The children used their hand eye coordination, bilateral coordination which is using both hands at the same time, and fine motor skills as they scooped and dumped acorns, stacked the wood rounds and spools, and played with the variety of materials available. They stacked in patterns as well as sorted the acorns into piles of tops, bottoms, and whole acorns, which are both early math skills. They loved this provocation ♥️

The children had so much fun exploring magnets on the light table! They enjoyed moving the magnets around, discovering how they connect, and seeing what they could create. It was a fun, hands-on way to explore and learn together! 🧲✨

The children enjoyed a fun apple-themed activity! They sorted red, yellow, and green circle stickers onto the matching trees while practicing their colours and fine-motor skills. 🍎🍏

The children had lots of fun using popsicle sticks and tape to build bridges. They explored how to connect the sticks and make their bridges strong and stable. This activity encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and fine-motor skills.
