Bobcaygeon Ontario Open Fiddle and Step Dance Contest in Bobcaygeon Ontario 2026 was a blast! We got:
Abby and Eleanor: 1st place, junior fiddle duet!
Abby: 3rd place novice step, 7th place 15- fiddle
Annika: 4th place 9- fiddle
Evelyn: 1st place novice step! 5th place 15- fiddle
Eleanor: 3rd place 15-fiddle, 2nd place novice step
We heard some great fiddlers, saw some amazing stepdancers, stayed up waaaaay too late at a jam session, and just had a great time.

Had to go back in my shoebox of old fiddle pics to find this, but here's me playing at the Shelburne fiddle contest in either 2005 or 2006. I miss this contest, and was so happy to see their beautiful backdrop used again for the Erin fiddle contest ❤️
