Theatre Out Reach On Stage

Theatre Out Reach On Stage Theatre Out Reach On Stage is a summer school program sponsored by the Near North District School Bo

Our theatre organization has been putting on full-scale musicals with the youth of North Bay for 27 years. Last summer we performed our 28th show and are excited for this summer. We will be putting on a production of ‘Pippin’ at the Capitol Centre on August 6th-9th, 2014. Our theatre productions involve over 80 students from North Bay, Ontario. Furthermore, we have implemented a program where our staff have taken on student apprentices who have taken on assistant positions to gain experience in the musical theatre world. Students who are involved in TOROS during the summer gain an invaluable experience putting on a huge musical and experiencing all aspects of theatre from costumes to being on stage. TOROS has influenced many of the youth in North Bay to continue with theatre as a career and we have alumni who are on stage on Broadway and in popular plays in the Toronto Musical scene. Many alumni have come back to work for the program that gave them so much as students.
