The NNDSB Math Department is planning a virtual math session for parents and guardians of students from Grades JK-12. The presentation will take place on March 31st from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The presenter is Scott Elliot, Chartered Professional Accountant.

The Learning Objectives are for participants to:
obtain information and tips to raise kids who are financially independent and responsible
better understand the challenges of raising money-smart kids
learn how to address age-appropriate money-related topics with young kids, pre-teens, teenagers and emerging adults

Key topics will include:
why teaching kids about money is important
goals and challenges of raising money smart kids
evolution of financial decisions throughout childhood
age appropriate teaching for young children, pre-teens, teenagers and emerging adults
tips on allowance, budgeting, credit cards, cell phones, virtual spending
tools, aids, resources

Today the kindergarten classes celebrated 100 days of school with a tea party, 100 exercises, a dance party, a photo booth, a letter hunt and stem challenges!

Students in ELK-C have been interested in learning about airplanes. They started by building airplanes out of blocks and then co-created an airplane and airport dramatic centre. Students have been writing new vocabulary, making badges and passports, and learning about different places around the world they would like to travel to!✈️🌍
