More photos from our last day at ETC. Students started us off singing our national anthem, followed by our last assembly, highlighting our spring sports teams, retiring and leaving staff, thanking nutrition program, school council, and watching both our grad and year in review slideshows. Ending with our walkthrough of grade 6s, and clapping out our students to their buses and pick ups into summer. Well done Cat's!

Another appreciation post before we close our doors...Ms. Shirley Scalise, is a huge part of the spirit of our school, she's the voice on the PA, she's the decorator, the nurse, the listener, the organizer, just the best. Where would we be without Ms. Scalise?? Thank you for all of your years here at ETC..it's the people in the building that make it what it is...and we are so thankful we've been able to have you here with us all.

Yesterday our Cat's had the privilege of learning teachings about Metis culture, symbolism, and art expression through a joint effort started years ago with students from W.J. Fricker and has now been collaborated on by E.W. Norman and now E.T. Carmichael students. It is a wonderful display of beading and braiding bringing us all together. I'm sure you will see it in the future as well. Thank you for the support from our Indigenous Education central staff as well. Great work Cat's!

Today we celebrated, showed appreciation and enjoyed the day with our Principal, Mr Jamey Byers. It was a spirited day to Thank him for his time with us at ETC these past two years & a chance for students, staff and families to show Mr Byers just how much he means to us! Mr Byers, you have supported us all with kindness and respect, guided us all to be our best and have enriched us to work together as a Team. We are so very thankful for the time we have had here with you at ETC Mr Byers, especially during this final year! We will miss you! We wish you all the very best at your new position in September. You have led the way to help make ETC the Best that it Can Be! And we gladly followed you.💙😊🧡

Saying thanks to our wonderful custodial staff, Nikki and Byron. You are both so helpful during the day, before, after school serving our students and staff in making our school safe. Thank you for all you do here as a part of our school team.

Appreciation post! Wraparound support for our students comes in many different forms with NNDSB staff and our community partners. ETC is so thankful for all of our community partners who help our students. Where would we be without these two NNDSB staffers?

Our CDC Ms. Cassidy and DLRT/ELI/PREP...you name it Ms. Graham have been the backbone of the support we have. Ms. Cassidy meets with students once a week and builds wonderful relationships with her students. Ms. Graham is the consummate professional who helps deliver vitality important early literacy intervention to students and support staff and students with all of their special education needs; she does/willing to help out the school in any way. We are privileged to have both of them here and next year at Maple View Public School.

Our 63rd and final graduating class from ETC was celebrated on Friday. Congratulations to all student, families, and staff on their hard work. The gym was packed, thank you to all who joined us, including NNDSB Trustees Sargent and Phillips. Good luck to all of you as you enter your next chapter of schooling in grade 7.

Our Juniors went to Science North earlier this week, loved it! Thanks again to School Council for all the fundraising and Alouette Bus Lines for taking our precious cargo! Thank you to staff and volunteers for making this happen.
