Nokomis Early Learning Centre

We are SO excited to finally share the details for the Nokomis Early Learning Centre Harvest & Halloween Fundraiser happening Saturday, October 17th, 2026 at the Nokomis Recreation Centre!

We’ve planned a full day of family fun, great food, entertainment and fundraising — with something for everyone! 🧡 👻

Please contact Harley Libke or Paula Halstead for your tickets. We ask that anyone who wants supper tickets to please get them before October 10th.

📆We had our Annual General Meeting last night and are sad to be letting three board members go. Thank you to Leah Bartel, Kaylyn Jabs and Lisa Biccum for all your help, ideas, centre support and fundraising efforts over the years. You will each be missed!!

Hello NELC Families!

We have an opportunity to raise funds for our October fundraiser, and we need your help!

In exchange for the rental of tables and chairs for our fundraiser, we have been asked to provide 4 volunteers at all times from 12pm-5pm to help at the Kidz Zone during the Nokomis fair on Saturday. The more volunteers the shorter the shifts!

Volunteers will be needed to do the following:

-Assist at the dunk tank by collecting money, handing out balls, and gathering balls as needed.
-Help in the Kidz Zone by keeping children organized in line for games, face painting, balloon twisting, and bouncy castles.
-Encourage children to take turns and share so everyone has a chance to participate.
-Hand out prizes and help ensure games are fun and fair for everyone

Please let me know if you are available to volunteer for any 1, 1.5, or 2 hour shifts.

Your support helps make fundraising opportunities like this possible, and we truly appreciate any time you can give. Thank you for helping support our Centre and our children!

🎃 Something Spooky (and Fun!) Is Coming for our TEN YEAR anniversary… 👻

Since some folks have been asking about our annual fundraiser, this year the Nokomis Early Learning Centre is brewing up something exciting for Fall of 2026! 🍂

We’re planning a Fall / Halloween Themed Fundraiser coming mid-October and we can’t wait to share all the details with you soon!

Think cozy fall vibes, Halloween fun, entertainment and a great way to support our amazing Early Learning Centre!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ward from Last Mountain Co-op for presenting NELC with a cheque from this year’s Fuel Good Days campaign. Your generosity and continued commitment to supporting local programs truly makes a difference.

We also want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our BBQ, grabbed a bite, and filled up their vehicles during Fuel Good Days.

Together we raised $1485.60!! We will be using this money to purchase an amazing outdoor kitchen for our Centre.
