It has been a month since my brain surgery on January 31, 2023. I had a 9 cm by 5.5 cm tumor of which 70% has been taken out.
The first two weeks came with balance issues and many extra needed naps. The last couple of weeks improved, gave me more energy, more time awake, and have allowed me more time with people. In general if I do too much I will feel movement in my brain and would give me a headache if I keep going. So, a balancing act with proper time to rest.
Monday, February 27, 2023 we received a call from Dr. Abdul Salam the neurologist who did the surgery. Special testing explains the delay. The tumor is now upgraded to grade 4. We have an appointment on Friday for more information and to make a treatment plan. We still wait for Oncology and Radiation to get to us with the time. Unfortunately grade 4 probably means we are not looking at a benign tumor and treatment will now likely include Radiation and Chemotherapy.
Please be aware of the use of "grade 4". It is different than "stage 4", and what this exactly implies and the possible treatments.

The course will be taught by a Certified Orff Specialist. One Hour Longer Sleep this Weekend!

Music Academy Manitoba has been an exciting month of October, and November is off to a great start!

Private Lessons continue to be scheduled and added with instructors on Piano, Voice, Trumpet, Drum, and Ukulele. Besides regular private lessons opportunities are made to give performances. Year End Performances will be at the end of April beginning of May. At this time Amy Neufeld will also be doing group lessons with her students on November 11. It'll be a great time with other activities!

Music for Children continues to learn basic music with Sing, Dance, and Play! to a variety of music and working together as a group.

Drama and Song continues to work on making through the details of making our own performance of a production in the Spring of 2023! There are a lot of different details that need to be worked out, and ideas are being explored as a group.

Piano Tuning besides regular $90, is offered to New-to-You for $140 which includes a re-tuning in 3 months.
