Meal prep for a forever student of Chinese medicine 🥣🪡
As long as I have some homemade broth in the fridge, I know I always have a quick, inexpensive and deeply nourishing meal ready for myself or my daughter.
A quick noodle bowl, a simple soup, or even replacing the water with broth when making gravy for her beloved poutine 😂 … there are so many easy ways to incorporate it into everyday meals.
And because I look at food through the lens of Chinese medicine, I love that something so simple can also be supportive of our Spleen Qi.
Warm, cooked, nourishing foods are traditionally considered easier on the Spleen and supportive of digestion, while a nutrient-dense bone broth provides protein, collagen and minerals.
As we transition into Metal / Fall / Lung season, what are some ways you support your body through food?
