Well… that’s a wrap on the ETFO Annual Meeting!
It was a busy week filled with important decisions, meaningful conversations, and plenty of networking. Every year brings new learning, new challenges, and new opportunities for growth as we continue to build provincial solidarity.
A huge thank you to all of the released officers and delegates who worked hard throughout the week and represented Niagara with such pride. Your dedication and commitment are truly appreciated!

Yesterday at the ETFO Annual Meeting, your representatives had the opportunity to hear the powerful and inspiring words of Marcia Howard. She spoke passionately about unity, solidarity, and the strength we have when we stand together to defend a fair and equitable public education system. She is truly a powerful voice and an inspiration.

Your ETFO Niagara representatives were actively engaged in important conversations at the annual meeting! With approximately 700 members gathered in one room, we’re working together to make important decisions that shape the future of our union.
We’re also proud to celebrate ETFO Niagara being recognized with an award for Member Engagement! 🎉

Summer is a special time for educators. It's a chance to rest, recharge, and reconnect with the people and activities that bring us joy after a busy school year. While some weeks can feel just as full as those during the school year, others offer the opportunity to slow down, relax, and enjoy a change of pace.

Today marks the halfway point between the first Saturday of summer and the first PD day back at school, where we begin planning for our students. Summer always seems to fly by, yet when we look back to those first days of July, they can also feel surprisingly far away.

As we reach this milestone, take a moment to reflect on the adventures you've had, the places you've explored, or the simple, peaceful moments you've enjoyed. What has brought you joy this summer?

The good news is we're only halfway there. There are still plenty of days ahead to rest, recharge, and make more memories before we return to the excitement of a new school year. Soon we'll find a different kind of joy in our classrooms, with our colleagues, and with our students.
