Tuesday, Oct. 21 is Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Education Appreciation Day. On this day we recognize the incredible dedication, compassion and expertise of the educators and staff who care for and nurture our children everyday.

The staff at Niagara’s child care centres, licensed home child care and EarlyON locations work tirelessly to create a safe, engaging and loving environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.

THANK YOU to all the wonderful individuals who are the heart and soul of Niagara Region’s children’s programs. Your commitment to early childhood development plays a vital role in shaping the future of our community.

Saying goodbye to the kids we’ve watched grow from infants is one of the hardest parts of being a childcare worker.

People don’t often talk about how deep our bonds are with these children or how much we truly love and care for them as if they were our own. I’ll be honest, this is the part of the journey I struggle with the most. My heart aches, but I know they’ll go on to do amazing things.

To the parents: thank you for trusting us with your babies and allowing us to be part of your community. It’s been a privilege to see them learn, laugh, play, and grow.

We’ll never forget them.🥺💛

Symptoms of measles can appear 7 to 21 days after being exposed to the measles virus and include:
▶️ Fever
▶️ Cough
▶️ Runny nose
▶️ Red / watery eyes
▶️ Small white spots inside the mouth / throat
▶️ Blotchy red rash. In darker skin colours, the redness may be harder to
see, or it may appear purple or darker than surrounding skin. This rash appears about 3 to 7 days after the other symptoms develop.
