At our Global Leadership Summer Camp, students didn't just learn about leadership—they lived it. This summer, young leaders from around the world came together at Pickering College to turn ideas into action. 🌎

Through design thinking, podcast creation at 102.7 CHOP FM, hands-on learning at Blue & Silver Farm and collaborative Global Leadership Action Projects, campers built skills in problem-solving, communication, collaboration and innovation.

Four weeks of learning, new perspectives and global friendships — and plenty of memories along the way. 💙

Thank you to our incredible campers and staff for an unforgettable summer. We can’t wait to see where your leadership journey takes you next!

This August, Pickering College welcomed an inspiring group of learners for the Gow Summer Reconstructive Language Program.

Offered in partnership with The Gow School, this unique two-week program helps students strengthen foundational reading, writing and language skills through the Gow Method of Reconstructive Language—building confidence and independence along the way.

Beyond the classroom, students have enjoyed hands-on projects, campus activities, new friendships and the full Pickering College summer boarding experience.

We’re proud to bring this transformative program to Canada and see our students grow in confidence each day.

A throwback to when school was in session and our Environmental Stewardship SPARC group was putting technology to work! 🌱🤖

Students planted lettuce in the school’s FarmBot and explored how technology can support sustainable food production. As the plants developed, students monitored their growth, collected data and gained hands-on experience with innovative approaches to agriculture.

A great example of experiential learning, sustainability and technology coming together at Pickering College.

Last week, Pickering College welcomed a group of educators and professors from Busan University for an inspiring week of collaboration, learning, and the exchange of ideas.

Throughout the program, our guests experienced life at Pickering College firsthand, visiting classrooms, observing teaching in action, and participating in sessions exploring inquiry-based learning, literacy, global education, transformational programming, and our CAP (Creativity, Action and Purpose) approach. A visit to Blue & Silver Farm also highlighted how experiential learning is woven into every part of the student experience.

It was a privilege to share our approach while gaining new perspectives from such passionate educators. We are grateful to our faculty, staff, students, and our colleagues from Busan University for making the week so meaningful.

We look forward to building on this partnership and continuing to foster global connections that enrich learning for both of our communities.

Congratulations to former Pickering College Head of English Dean Gessie on the publication of his seventh book and second poetry collection, A Theory of Everything.

Dedicated to "those who love each other and the natural world," the collection takes readers on a poetic journey across four countries and three continents, exploring love, adventure, and our connection to the world around us.

We're also thrilled to share that Dean has recently been named to the longlist of 15 for the internationally recognized ABR Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize in Australia-an incredible achievement.

Congratulations, Mr Gessie! The Pickering College community is proud to celebrate your continued success and wishes you all the best.

When Danbi J arrived at Pickering College in Grade 9, she brought a portfolio, a dream and a determination to rediscover what art could be. Now in Grade 11, she reflects on nearly three years that have reshaped her creativity and sense of purpose.

From finding the freedom to develop her own artistic style to earning first place in the International Peace Pals Art Contest, Danbi's journey is a testament to what can happen when students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow.

We're proud to celebrate Danbi's achievements and the creativity, curiosity, and purpose she brings to our community.
