One of the greatest assets of the Davis™ method is the understanding that dyslexia is a learning difference, as well as a gift. At Learning Ability this approach means that the unique abilities of the person taking the program will be understood, as well as their unique challenges in mastering the disorienting aspects of dyslexia. Along with this there are also specialized programs which focus on the mastering of the ADD/ADHD and the dyscalculia (learning problems with math) learning style; as Davis research has found that all three are strongly linked. Through the Davis™ program clients work one-on-one with a facilitator to help master the challenges of their learning and thinking style to uncover their strengths while learning to accomplish daily tasks such as reading, writing, math comprehension and organizing information. This is accomplished by learning and mastering the use of the Davis Dyslexia Correction® Tools . Each of the Davis™ Tools is used as a step to addressing the issue of disorientation and comprehending language-based environment, whether this be in the classroom or the office. After completing the one-week course a person is able to return to their daily life, employing their new tools to function with classmates or co-workers without anyone having to know the new tools are being used.
