It was all hands on deck today of our annual Canada Day Fundraiser to sell hot dogs. The fundraiser is to support our competition team who qualify for the next JKA world championships which will be held in Japan in the fall of 2027. And a big thank you to Mayor John Taylor for donating $1000 from his youth development fund.

Congratulations to our Shotokan Tigers competition team that competed in the JKA Nationals in Montreal on May 17th. And a thank you to our coaches and parents who supported the team.
Results are as follows:
Hayah-Bronze medal in Kata and Gold medal in Kumité, Dounya-Silver medal in Kata and Bronze medal in Kumité, Siraj-4th in Kata, Ryan-Bronze medal in Kumité, Devon-Gold medal in Kumité and Deven Colton and Connor-Silver medal in Team Kata.

Congratulations to all our competitors who participated in our annual Shiai on Sunday April 26th. We had 8 Dojos represented with a total of 140 competitors from 5 years old to 18. Our Dojo took a total of 54 medals.
And I’d like to thank all the volunteer judges and referees and those on the stats tables. We couldn’t do this without you.
