Our first meeting of the month, held on August 5, was a high-energy “Summertime Fun” Toastmasters session.

Sergeant at Arms Mahrad opened the meeting with precision, followed by President Olga’s theatrical welcome, Toastmaster Karen’s warmth, and an electrifying Tall Tales workshop by Anton Coetzee, DTM. The workshop left everyone ready to take on the September 30 contest.

What does "opulent" mean to you?
"Opulent" was the word of the day at our Toastmaster meeting on August 5th, 2026.

But at our club, we take it one step further by looking at its deeper roots:
Ops = Power, influence, and resources.

We at the Court of Blarney would like to welcome you all to our opulent (word of the day) meeting and Tall Tales Workshop by Anton Coetzee, DTM.

The theme of the meeting will be 'Summertime Fun,' and we are sure that the memories from the evening will keep us warm during the cold winter days that are far, far away.
