✨ WELCOME TO THE RISE TEAM, KATE! ✨

We are thrilled to welcome Kate Hartley to the RISE Children’s Choir team for our 2026/27 Season! 🎶

A passionate music educator, vocalist, and choral leader, Kate brings a wonderful combination of musical experience, creativity, and a genuine love of working with young singers.

Kate discovered her passion for choral music through the Upper Canada Chorus, where she grew as a singer and served as Head Chorister. She went on to earn an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University, and she currently works as a supply teacher with the York Region District School Board.

What we love most about Kate is her belief in the power of music to build confidence, create connection, and help young people discover what they are capable of. ❤️

This fall, Kate will be bringing her energy, encouragement, and love of choral music to RISE as we ignite, discover, and share The Artist Within together.

Kate, we are so excited to have you on the team! We can’t wait to see all that this season holds. 🎶✨

The RISE Experience Day is a free, immersive choral experience designed to give young singers a glimpse into the magic of RISE.⭐

From warm-ups to harmony, movement to musical storytelling - your child will meet new friends, learn about their voice, and experience what it feels like to be a part of something truly special.

Led by our passionate and nurturing artistic team, this event is open to singers in Grades JK-12, grouped by age for an inspiring, age-appropriate musical experience.

RISE Children's Choir has a new rehearsal home for the 2026/2027 Season!

RISE will be rehearsing on Monday evenings at the newly built Robert Rourke Assembly Hall at Pickering College.

This beautiful, modern, amphitheatre-style space will provide a dynamic and inspiring venue for our weekly rehearsals.

We are so excited for this partnership and can't wait to get singing! 🎶

We’re kicking things off with Once Upon a Time 🏰📖 — a week of fairy tales, myths, legends, superheroes, Disney, Pixar, and all things storytelling!

Then we’re hopping aboard the Time Travelers Express 🚂⏰ for a musical journey through the decades, exploring the songs, styles, stories, and trends from the 1960s all the way to today!

Two weeks. So many stories. SO much creativity. 🎶🎭✨

We’re counting down the days until we make some more camp memories! 💛
