A new little corner to read, explore, and imagine 📚🤎 Our children have been loving their new library space, and we’ve been loving seeing them get excited about choosing their next book!

🍂Giving thanks by giving back🍂

This Thanksgiving, Simcoe Street Montessori is collecting non-perishable food items for the Newmarket Food Pantry to support families in our community.

We’re encouraging our little ones to take part by placing their donations in our box themselves, helping them learn that even a small act of kindness can make a big difference🤎

Donations will be collected until Thursday, October 8!

🧡 Orange Shirt Day🧡

Today, we wear orange to honour the Indigenous children who were taken from their families and communities and forced to attend residential schools, to recognize the Survivors who carry those experiences with them, and to remember the children who never returned home.

Orange Shirt Day is also an opportunity to teach the next generation about truth, respect, compassion, and reconciliation🧡

🧡Every Child Matters🧡

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children, families, Survivors, and Indigenous communities impacted by residential schools.

At Simcoe Street Montessori, we recognize the importance of learning, listening, remembering, and creating a future rooted in kindness, respect, and understanding🧡
