✨ This week we’re sharing 5 Public Speaking Tips to help you grow as a speaker and communicator! Whether you’re preparing for a presentation, an interview, or a Toastmasters speech, these practical tips will boost your confidence and impact.
1️⃣ Don’t Apologize for Mistakes — a stumble is normal! Pause, take a breath, and carry on with confidence. 🙂
2️⃣ Eliminate Filler Words — cut back on “um,” “like,” and “you know” to sound polished and intentional. 🗣️
3️⃣ Pause with Purpose — silence is powerful. Use it to emphasize key points and let your message sink in. ⏸️
4️⃣ Engage with Eye Contact — connect with your audience and build trust by looking at them directly. 👀
5️⃣ Breathe with Intention — steady breaths calm your nerves and strengthen your voice. 🌬️
📣 Reminder: No meeting this week for Douglas Toastmasters. We’ll be back Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 — see you then!
