Urban Academy

Urban Academy Urban Academy allows students to achieve high academic standards by linking learning to real life.

Established in 2001, Urban Academy was born out of a desire to educate students from JK to Grade 12 in a way that will allow them to be engaged, motivated and excited about learning. Our approach to learning helps each student make a deeper connection to their learning. We do this integrating our three pillars of engagement: the arts, technology and outdoor education. By allowing students to make connections to their core academics with subjects outside of their classroom walls, they retain what they have learned and achieve great academic success. We also believe that we need to focus on the growth of the child in their entirety, which changes for every developmental age and stage. Our commitment to academic excellence is enhanced by our focus on social, emotional learning and equipping each child to be a successful contributor to the world.

At Urban Academy, we believe that no student should have to navigate a challenge alone. For Bella, growth meant realizing that when a math problem felt impossible, the solution was not just to work harder, but to work together.
