As Martial Artists, we should all strive to be positive role models. This makes all of us leaders, or future leaders. For every belt you gain you become a leader to increasingly more people as you must demonstrate skills to the junior students. A willingness to help and serve are also both elements of our Dojang environment, and of leadership. To be a Black Belt, or future Black Belt, is to be a leader.

Congratulations to our Student of the Month, Cameron! He consistently demonstrates dedication, perseverance, and a strong work ethic both on and off the mats.
Cameron isn’t the only member of his family training at OMAC, both of his children train alongside him as well. Balancing work, parenting, and training consistently is truly admirable. His dedication, positive attitude, and commitment to improving make him a great example both on and off the mats and to his family.

“As long as I keep showing up, I’m progressing in the right direction” - Nicole H
Today was a big day at our Dojang, and we couldn’t be more proud of our students.
Sixteen students stepped onto that floor, gave everything they had, and proved exactly what they’re made of.
A special congratulations to Aidan F, Isaac S, and Nicole H, your performances were truly exceptional and a standout of the day. Well done.

We had a meaningful visit at the dojang this week as one of our former students, Constable Biro from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, stopped by to spend time with one of our current students, Araav G.
Moments like this reflect what our OMAC community is about. It’s not just training, it’s continuity, mentorship, and giving back. Seeing former students return, share their experiences, and guide the next generation reinforces the values we work to build every day.
We’re proud of the path our students take beyond the dojang, and even more proud when they come back to lift others up.

Matthew A is our Student of the Month. He is the strong and silent type who leads by example every class. His focus, consistency, and work ethic never go unnoticed. Matthew shows quiet determination and continues to improve each time he steps on the mat. We are proud of his progress and look forward to seeing his continued growth.

Happy 81st Birthday to the founder of OMAC Taekwondo, Grand Master Jung Kil Suh.
“When I was younger, he felt like a mythical figure to me. Someone I deeply admired and respected. As I’ve grown, that respect has only strengthened through witnessing his lifelong dedication, discipline, and the legacy he has built for all of us.
He did not just build a school. He built a foundation that has shaped generations of students, instructors, and families. The values he has instilled, Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, and Indomitable Spirit, continue to guide everything we do at OMAC.
Many of the leaders in our dojang today, including myself, are a direct result of his vision and sacrifice. What started decades ago has now grown into a community where second generation students are becoming leaders themselves.
Grateful for his guidance, his example, and the standard he continues to set. Wishing him continued health, strength, and many more years of impact.”
- Grand Master Young Suh
