๐ง The Water Cycle ๐งโ๏ธ๐ค๏ธโ๏ธ๐ง๏ธ๐ง
Our daycare, preschool and kindergarten students had a wonderful time learning about the water cycle and how water continuously moves through nature!
๐งChildren explored the main stages of the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. Through discussions and hands-on learning, they discovered how the sun helps water evaporate, how clouds form, and how rain returns water to the earth to begin the cycle again.
๐งTo reinforce their learning, the children painted colorful water cycle printouts, helping them visualize each stage while expressing their creativity. โ๏ธ๐

๐จ Community Helpers โ Police Visit ๐๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
During the New Westminster Police Department visit, our preschoolers learned valuable safety lessons, including:
โข How to cross the street safely
โข The importance of wearing seatbelts
โข Why distractions, such as using phones while driving, can be dangerous โข
How and when to seek help from a police officer or other trusted community helper
The children enjoyed meeting the officers, asking questions, and learning about the important role police officers play in keeping our community safe. Experiences like these help children build confidence, develop safety awareness, and understand that community helpers are friendly, approachable, and there to support them when needed.
A big thank you to the New Westminster Police Department for taking the time to visit and inspire our young learners!

Another idea for Science Circle Time: How do Polar Bears stay warm? ๐ปโโ๏ธโ๏ธ
Our children joined Ms. Olesea to discover how polar bears stay cozy in the freezing Arctic! They learned about the bear's "multi-layer" approach to insulationโspecifically their thick layer of blubber (up to 11 cm thick!) that keeps them so warm they can actually overheat if they run too much.
๐It was a fascinating and engaging session that showed our little learners just how amazing nature can be. ๐จโ๏ธ
