Hey folks down by the new west Quqy today for my run and was wondering how the fishing was for I had seen a bunch of fishing poles with lines in . Then I saw a vessel landing a white Sturgeon about 8 feet and 175 lbs , technically you need to release after catching . 🧡 Final weekend to apply for the Honouring our Missing and Murdered Métis Relatives (HMMMR) Commemorative Fund. The application deadline is Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Métis individuals and families in B.C. who have lost a loved one as a result of the MMIWG2S+ crisis may be eligible to receive up to $2,000 CAD to support meaningful acts of remembrance, including memorial gatherings, headstones, commemorative artwork, and other tributes.
📅 Apply by this Sunday, August 23, 2026. Funding is available until all allocated funds have been distributed.

Hi folks North Fraser Metis Association well I finished one of the IHP courses at UBC WOW such a wonderful program amazing instructors and staff . Wonderful guest speakers and presenters to drive home subject matters . Tonnes of work and reading very concentrated but achievable. Good mix of academia and culture . The students and interaction was truly awesome . The depth of knowledge and intelligence from students from all across Canada was truly visible throughout the program . I’m humbled to have been part of this . The discussions , and student presentions were innovative , out of the box , creative and on point . I have learned so much from this program and from my classmate hearing their stories a big Maarsii ❤️Greg Stanwood Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health

Hey folks, day 3 of a total engaging program , homework till 10pm wow every day , presentation to you peers daily toughest audience. Wonderful highly educated group off to the UBC farm tomorrow , Bannock Queen is catering lunch 😃out door presentation lots of fun
